I recommend you all go onto the NCTs website and have a look at the new rules, main rule is the size of the Jap import plates has now changed they now have to be longer and wider , also if you have lexus lights you need to have reflectors on the rear of the car aswell , Also if you have aftermarket parts on the car like extra lights or indicators in your mirrors they will also be tested the rule is if its on the car it has to be checked,

I failed on a few things with my civic but had 2 of them over turned by the manager that was there, He tried to fail me on my rear bush's he said they where worn I said show me as I have sprayed them down with WD40 the day before to check for cracks, he tried to say they where worn but he couldnt prove it so his manager took it off, I also was arguing with him over indicators on my wing mirrors he said they where faded and I said they are not part of the cars standard features and his reply was as above if its on the car it has to be tested, Also I was a bit aggrevated that my car passed 2 years ago with the reg plates on it and now I have ot go get new ones cos they have changed their laws,

I eventually got the Lexus lights thing overturned as they did have reflectors in them your man was just being an arsehole cos that rule wasnt there when I went the last time and it passed the last time with them on it , your man was a complete knob end honestly , So I had 2 fails overturned , just goes to show argue and you might get it ,

So my front right suspension was leaking which I replaced in half an hour , I was also failed on a split pin for the bolt in the right suspension and the 2 reg plates and the indicators in the mirrors , just gona snip them and then reconnect them when I pass , same with the suspension I have new tein coliovers which are going onto it day after it passes the nct along with front and rear camber arms , its gona be decked for full of the pipe ,

and the bushs it was suggested that I change them but its not a fail , GOD I HATE NCT ,

Ciaran I work with the big end bearing in his car was knocking and he had a new engine sorted but thought hed put it through anyway to see what else it would fail on , he almost died of shock when they handed him a 2 years NCT , ive also heard from a few others aswell , one lad but his car in for NCT and the engine blew up the following week on his way home from work , I understand they have a job to do but I wouild appreciate if they all did the job the same way ,
